Q: Hi Alessio, why did you decide to complete an apprenticeship?
A: I left university and decided an apprenticeship was the best way for me to earn a living and become qualified in a new sector. I was applying for roles and saw that IRS were advertising. The apprenticeship was a pre-requisite for the job role.
Q: How have you found the support from Sysco’s trainers?
A: The support has been 5 star. The communication with my tutor has been good and they have been a supportive and positive influence during our face to face sessions.
Q: How has the Apprenticeship helped you to progress in your current role?
A: The apprenticeship has taught me how to properly talk to customers. I am now able to support them through any queries they have regarding IRS’ products and services. Although the technical knowledge is something I have learnt on the job, providing customers with this knowledge in a courteous, professional and efficient way is something the qualification has helped with.
Q: Describe your tutor in 3 words?
A: Supportive, Positive, Encouraging.
Q: What are the best aspects of learning?
A: Learning in my job and during the qualification has helped me to challenge myself and develop my skills. This is the best aspect of learning as it has me to improve my performance at work.
Q: Would you recommend Sysco?
A: Yes – All the contact I have had with Sysco, dating back to my first communication with them has always been positive and helpful.
