Extending and Developing Adult Educators’ Competences
Co-funded by the Erasmus + Programme of the European Union
Action 2: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices
Strategic partnerships in the field of education, training and youth – Adult education
Partners of the project
- Foundation of Innovation and Knowlege (Poland) – Leader of the project
- Sysco Business Skills Academy (United Kingdom)
- Centro Per Lo Sviluppo Creativo Danilo Dolci Onlus Associazione (Italy)
- The Education Office in Warsaw (Poland)
Implementation period
31.12.2018 – 31.08.2020
Aim of the project
The main objective of the Project is to broaden both access to and the available educational offer for people with lower qualifications or low-skilled through the development of competences among adult education specialists (such as employment counsellors, adult educators, career advisors, coaches, etc.).
The Project will contribute to development of state-of-the-art comprehensive methods of working with Clients which will translate directly into the quality of support they receive, and ultimately into upskilling of these Clients through their participation in formal and informal education.
The Project envisages examining the pre-existing adult educational solutions developed in partner countries, comparing them and proposing possible adaptations. An innovative element that will be implemented when developing the new support model is the role of an education broker. According to the definition, an educational broker is an advisor who deals with selection of educational services best suited to the needs and capabilities of a Client. An education broker serves as an intermediary between the Client and the training market; and in consultation with the Client proposes the direction, type and level of training that fits best the Client’s profile, taking into account the certification levels, training costs and individual psycho-physical and economic capabilities of every Client.

Early School Leavers Project
Erasmus Report
The project goal is to provide, within an international cooperation, a comprehensive analysis of the early school leaving (ESL) phenomenon among partner countries in the area of ESL monitoring systems, methods of ESL counteracting and students’ reintegration. The project activities aim at delivering an in-depth analysis of current situation in the above mentioned research areas and finding solutions that will allow for the introduction of significant improvements in that field.
The project is carried out in a partnership between the following countries: Poland, United Kingdom, Italy and involves organisations working with the education system institutions on a day-to-day basis.
The participating institutions have developed knowledge and experience in the area of human resources development in the education system and provide direct or indirect support to young people at a risk of early school leaving. Within the framework of international cooperation and the working group set up for this purpose, an analysis of existing ESL monitoring systems will be carried out and improvement areas will be identified.
Partners will indicate best practice in this field and jointly develop conclusions and recommendations as a result of the carried out research. Good practices in the area of ESL prevention and students reintegration will be analysed and practical solutions in that area will be proposed.
The research results will be presented during the conferences summarising the different stages of the project. The reports summarising the research outcomes will also be publicised.
The project will contribute to a significant knowledge increase in the above mentioned areas. It will enable a creative exchange of good practices between partners and the development of new solutions in the discussed fields. In addition a training package will be developed, that will provide a support for professionals dealing with an ESL issue on a day-to-day basis (including teachers, educators, schools directors, etc.) as well as add to the dissemination of the project results.
