We are pleased to offer two new funded courses under the UKSPF funding, through the LCRCA, designed to support eligible individuals across the LCRCA region.
16-19 Entry into construction course
Course dates: July 23rd, 24th & 25th 2024 9am- 4pm Trueman Street, Liverpool, L3 2BA
Level 1 Award in Health & Safety in the construction environment Level 2 Non Accredited – Green Energy principles for the future Level 2 Non Accredited – Employability Skills Module (CV, Interview, Confidence, Self Employment) CSCS Green Card – Ending with their Green Card Test

- Hazard recognition & Management
- Occupational Health awareness

Eligibility for the course
- Be economically inactive or employed (this includes self-employed individuals and those who are currently under-employed) or socially excluded.
- Live in Liverpool City Region (Halton, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens, Liverpool or Wirral);
- Be aged 16 -19 (please contact us if your over this age)
- Be UK nationals or persons with the right of abode and have the right to live and work in the UK without any immigration restrictions, having lived in the UK for the previous 3 years.

SSSTS
Course dates: August 5TH & 6TH (to be confirmed) Trueman Street, Liverpool, L3 2BA
- Introduction to Health and Safety Law: Understanding legal responsibilities, regulations, and penalties for non-compliance.
- Health and Safety on Construction Sites: Identifying and controlling risks, implementing safety measures, and understanding the supervisor’s role in maintaining a safe site.
- Risk Assessments and Method Statements: Developing and enforcing effective risk assessments and method statements to manage and mitigate site risks.
- Working at Heights: Best practices and safety requirements for working at heights, including the use of scaffolding and access equipment.
- Managing Occupational Health: Recognizing occupational health risks and implementing strategies to promote health and wellbeing among the workforces.
- Effective Toolbox Talks: Techniques for delivering effective toolbox talks to communicate health and safety information to the workforce.
- Participants will engage in interactive learning, including case studies and group discussions, to deepen their understanding and application of health and safety principles in a supervisory context.
Certification: CITB SSSTS Certificate, valid for 5 years, upon successful completion
